“The Mediterranea International Centre for Human Rights Research (MICHR) of the Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria and Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo - PUC-SP have been collaborating academically for some years now. The partnership between both educational institutions has generated a constant exchange of information, interchange of students and several joint scientific productions. As a result of this solid partnership between both universities, this book was conceived as another common project.

It is also important to point out that the universities share several similarities between their research lines. Especially regarding this book, the academic productions of the MICHR of Reggio Calabria and the Postgraduate Program of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo - PUC-SP converge to debate an extremely relevant theme in the current panorama.
